Movie and Television Production Consulting

Producer, Director, Writer and Founder of World One TV

Sean Reid is an American film producer, director, and writer whose work spans features, documentaries, television, and streaming media. With a career that bridges creative storytelling and technical production, Reid has built a reputation for delivering high quality independent productions while developing new platforms for diverse voices in film and television.

Reid is the Co-Founder and President of World One TV, a subscription streaming platform focused on multicultural storytelling, independent cinema, and global voices. Through World One TV and its production arm, World One Productions, Reid develops and produces original films, documentaries, and series that highlight underrepresented creators while preserving culturally significant stories.

Before launching World One TV, Reid built an extensive career in television production. His experience includes management roles at E! News Live, as well as positions on The Rob Nelson Show (Fox) and Square Off on the TV Guide Channel. He later served as Field Director on the nationally syndicated entertainment news show Central Ave, produced by Debmar-Mercury and executive produced by Will Packer.

Reid’s work in independent film includes writing, directing, and producing the feature film Redemption, starring Brian White (Ray Donovan, Homeland) and T. J. Storm (Godzilla, Captain America: Civil War). The film was among the early independent features shot in high definition using the Sony HDW F900 camera and screened in competition at the ReelWorld Film Festival in Toronto and the Playhouse West Film Festival in Los Angeles before being distributed by Lionsgate.

As a producer Reid has worked across multiple genres including drama, horror, and documentary. His producing credits include the feature films Horrors of War, distributed by Maverick Entertainment; Phin, a festival favorite; the horror film Craving; and A Hard Place, an independent genre feature currently touring select theaters. His documentary work includes Black Serial Killers: Truth or Fiction and Aliens vs. Bigfoot, reflecting his interest in investigative storytelling and cultural history.

Earlier in his career Reid served as Vice President of Production for Gas Money Pictures, supervising the production of both short and long form animation. Prior to that he worked as Director of Development and Business Development for ANC Productions, where he oversaw a 2,500 square foot production facility and helped develop production partnerships and projects, including the animated co production Aggro Squirrl. Clients during this period included Jim Henson Productions, Kino Flo, MovieMaker Magazine, and the nonprofit organization Visionary Women.

In addition to his work in film and television, Reid has produced more than one hundred national television promos and marketing campaigns, frequently serving as both Producer and First Assistant Director. One of his most notable campaigns was producing the full network promotional campaign for Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, creating promos for five seasons of the series within a single year. Additional clients have included NFL Network, PBS Sprout, Mothers.com, Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance, House, BET’s Celebration of Gospel hosted by Steve Harvey, and the DIY Network’s Let’s Get Dirty campaign, which ran nationally in theaters.

Reid has also directed television pilots including The DVD Premiere Awards, hosted by Ben Stein with presenters including Quentin Tarantino. Additional directing credits include The Guest House, produced by Tisha Campbell Martin and Monique Chenault, and #OWNIT, developed for Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network.

Today Sean Reid continues to develop feature films, documentaries, and television projects through World One Productions while expanding the reach of independent storytelling through the World One TV streaming platform. His work focuses on culturally relevant stories, innovative production models, and creating opportunities for filmmakers whose voices deserve a global audience. He also provides consulting for filmmakers, producers, and companies seeking guidance on development, packaging, production strategy, and navigating the modern media landscape.
